TXDOT Work Zone Injury Draws Attention to Safety, Driver Awareness

There are about a dozen work zones within the city limits of Amarillo, Texas. In 2017, there were 500 work zone crashes in the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Amarillo district, which resulted in 7 fatalities and 21 injuries. The increasing number of injuries prompts TxDOT to call for drivers to pay attention and slow down in work zones.
