Virginia Lawmakers Approve Bill Allowing Speed Cameras Near Schools and Highway Work Zones

Under the pending speed camera legislation, Virginia police will be allowed to set up speed cameras at highway work sites and school crossing zones. This bill has generated some controversy. Supporters say the cameras will help protect road workers and school children.
