‘Zipper Merge’ Proposed for Saskatoon Work Zones

Saskatoon is introducing zipper merging, a new method of traffic control, to mitigate traffic congestion in its work zones. Zipper merging requires motorists to use two lanes as they near a merging point and then take turns advancing at the point where traffic is reduced to one lane.
