Highway Capacity Analysis

This course provides a working knowledge on the basics of capacity analysis and the use of the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) and Highway Capacity Software. The course includes lectures and sample problems. Topics addressed will cover the analysis of a wide range of facilities from freeway systems to signalized and unsignalized intersections. Design issues and their effect on capacity will be covered as well as the major changes in the latest version of the Highway Capacity Software. In this course you will hear how the methodologies were developed.
