Maintenance of Traffic for Supervisors

This course presents information about the placement of, field maintenance required for, and inspection of traffic control devices. It also discusses drafting work zone traffic control plans and flagging. This training focuses on the design of a traffic control plan, and how and why it is needed in the work zone.

This training is divided into five modules:
1. Fundamental Principles of Temporary Traffic Control Zones;
2. Temporary Traffic Control Devices;
3. Traffic Control Zones;
4. Transportation Management Plans; and
5. Flagger Operations.

This training is recommended for the Transportation Curriculum Coordination Council levels III and IV.
