TRB Webinar: How DOTs Manage to Keep Maintenance Workers Safe

Maintenance and other field workers are exposed to hazards that require a higher level of management than traditional office-based positions within state departments of transportation (DOTs). TRB hosted a webinar that explored the national state of practice and trends on the use of safety management systems to manage maintenance worker safety. Presenters  provided a perspective from a national DOT leader in the area of safety and practices for managing heat stress.
