TRB Webinar: Managing Construction Through Electronic Ticketing
Collecting paper load delivery tickets at highway construction projects is an outdated practice that exposes construction inspectors to many safety hazards. State transportation agencies have looked for ways to automate this process through electronic ticketing, or e-ticketing. This webinar outlined the current state of the practice nationally regarding e-ticketing. Presenters described lessons learned and future efforts. They also explored case studies from several transportation agencies that have piloted and expanded the use of e-ticketing.
This webinar draws on research from the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Synthesis Report 545: Electronic Ticketing of Materials for Construction Management.
