TRB Webinar: Practices and Examples to Manage Sign Retroreflectivity in Compliance With the MUTCD
On December 21, 2007, the U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) revised the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices to establish maintenance criteria for traffic sign retroreflectivity. The revised manual gives agencies until January 2012 to establish and implement a sign assessment or management method to maintain minimum levels of sign retroreflectivity.
Agencies are currently seeking practices to help accelerate the implementation of a sign retroreflectivity maintenance policy. This webinar will explore TRB’s NCHRP Synthesis Report 431: Practices to Manage Traffic Signal Reflectivity. Webinar presentations will highlight practices that agencies are using around the country. Presenters will also share agency experiences and accomplishments with implementing sign retroreflectivity management programs.
