Webinar: Positive Protection Strategies in Work Zones

This webinar sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will cover two types of positive protection strategies used in work zones including use of a mobile barrier system and a movable concrete barrier system. Representatives from the Illinois Tollway and North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) will discuss their experience in using these devices to improve work zone safety. Topics may include a brief review of the technology, procurement process, deployment logistics, typical work zone applications, limitations of use, maintenance practices, staff training, and lessons learned.
