Work Zone Hazard Assessment: Identifying and Maintaining the Work Zone Clear Zone

This podcast is derived from the ATSSA “Positive Protection Guidelines Training Module” and the FHWA Work Zone Safety Grant-sponsored “Traffic Control Design Specialist” training course. It has been designed to help work zone practitioners learn more about what the work zone clear zone is, what it does, and why it’s important for both worker and road user safety. The podcast also identifies potential hazards that may exist in the work zone clear zone and outlines best practices for treatment.
