Work Zone Hazards Workbook / Cuaderno de Trabajo Sobre Peligros en la Zona de Trabajo

Abstract:

This publication contains:

  1. The purpose of OSHA (The Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and its duty to enforce it under the law.
  2. An explanation of MUTCD (Uniform Traffic Control Devices Manual) and how the manual is used to ensure worker safety.
  3. Important words and definitions used in the manual.
  4. The requirements for safety clothing that can be easily seen.
  5. Procedures for organizing, maintaining and inspecting devices and temporary traffic control in work zones.
  6. The training requirements for those who work in and near traffic, on the streets, on the highways, and include the qualifications of flaggers.
  7. Planning for emergencies and procedures for responding to emergencies for work zone operations.

  1. El propósito de OSHA (La Administración de la Seguridad y Salud Ocupacionales) y su deber de enforzarlo bajo la ley.
  2. Una explicación de MUTCD (Manual de los Dispositivos para el Control Uniforme del Tráfico) y como se usa el manual para asegurar la seguirdad de los trabajadores.
