Abstract:Final report of a Wisconsin DOT committee which reviewed literature on work zone lane capacity and recommended a process for selecting traffic control staging method. The information is focused on rural freeways but has some application to other situations. It discusses project length, lane width, use of separation devices, capacity values, queuing and user delay and user costs, contracting provisions, and recommended solutions and techniques.
