Iowa DOT – Open for Business

Abstract:

Iowa DOT’s workforce remains committed to supporting the movement of people and goods throughout Iowa so that people can play their role to respond to the COVID-19 crisis. With many people staying home, traffic has dropped. This allows Iowa DOT’s construction and maintenance forces, along with their industry partners, to alter schedules in work zones to allow more work to happen during the day. As far as agency operations are concerned, more than 900 Iowa DOTers are now teleworking. For those workers who are unable to telework, they practice social distancing and have increased sanitation in all of their facilities.
