Officials: Road Worker’s Injuries Highlight Need for Safe Driving

On April 23, Lindberg, a foreman with contractor Rotschy, Inc., was doing striping work on state Highway 502 when struck by a pickup truck. The pickup driver was suspected of being drunk. The incident occurred at the same time when Washington State Department of Transportation was hosting its Work Zone Safety Awareness Week campaign, honoring fallen workers.
