Shadow Stretching: New Attenuator Research Adjusts to Heavier Traffic

This article highlights the potential challenges of safely protecting work operations with shadow vehicles on high-speed facilities serving significant numbers of large trucks.   It illustrates the importance of considering the use of heavier shadow vehicles with properly-rated truck-mounted attenuators and/or additional shadow vehicles in these situations.
