System to Provide Data on Risky Work-Zone Incidents

Abstract:

Work zone intrusions are a serious safety concern.  Researchers at the University of Minnesota’s HumanFIRST Laboratory created a system for road crew workers to report work zone intrusions. The research project was sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota Local Road Research Board.   This articles provides a detailed summary of this project.
