UDOT Engineer Develops ‘Safety T-Shirt’ for Construction Workers

Author/Presenter: Cabrero, Alex
Abstract:

Utah Department of Transportation safety engineer Sam Grimshaw has designed a new reflective t-shirt to help workers stand out at night. The idea came to him on a late night drive home when he realized the current reflective vests workers wear often blend in with the barrels in the work zone. The shirt was shown during a safety meeting and was very well received. The shirt is not currently approved for use in the field, but it might be in the future.
