ARTBA Trenching and Excavation Awareness Level Training / AECCT Capacitación Sobre Excavación y Zanjas

This half-day training is a comprehensive training program developed to educate on the hazards found in trench and excavation work in the transportation construction industry. It is offered by the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) in partnership with the Northwest Center for Occupational Health and Safety at the University of Washington.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify basic hazards associated with trenching & excavation.
  • Explain how protective systems work and how they protect workers.
  • Describe inspection requirements, duties of the “Competent Person”, and other safety considerations in trenching & excavation work.

/ Esta capacitación de medio día es un programa desarrollado para educar sobre los peligros que se encuentran en los trabajos de excavación y zanjas en la industria de la construcción de transporte. Es ofrecido por la Asociación Estadounidense de Constructores de Carreteras y Transporte (AECCT) en asociación con el Centro Noroeste para la Salud y Seguridad Ocupacional de la Universidad de Washington.

Objetivos de aprendizaje:

  • Identificar los peligros básicos asociados con la excavación de zanjas.
  • Explique cómo funcionan los sistemas de protección y cómo protegen a los trabajadores.
