Struck-by Accidents in Construction/Vehicle Back-Over / Golpes Causados por Accidentes en Construccion/Debido a Vehiculos Retrocediendo

In the U.S., more than 800 construction workers die every year while on the job. Being struck by vehicles, heavy equipment, and other objects is the top cause of injuries and the second cause of death for construction workers, killing more than 150 workers in 2009. But these injuries and deaths can be prevented. The video shows how quickly struck-by accidents at construction sites can lead to worker deaths. The video also shows what employers must do so that the work can be done safely. Employers have a responsibility to provide a safe workplace and required protective equipment. / En los EE. UU., Más de 800 trabajadores de la construcción mueren cada año mientras están en el trabajo. Ser golpeado por vehículos, equipo pesado y otros objetos es la principal causa de lesiones y la segunda causa de muerte para los trabajadores de la construcción, matando a más de 150 trabajadores en 2009.
